Florida Fish ID Me (“we,” “our,” or “the App”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle data within the App to ensure a transparent experience for our users.

Summary: The App is free to use without creating an account. We do not show advertisements and we do not sell your personal information. An optional account may be created to unlock Pro features and enable cloud backup of your data. Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe.

1. Permissions & Data Usage

To provide its core features, the App requires certain permissions on your device:

📍 Your Location is Private: This App only accesses your location while it is actively open on your screen. The moment you close the App or switch to another app, all location access stops immediately. We never track your location in the background. Location coordinates are only ever stored when YOU choose to save a fishing spot — and that data is stored securely on your device or your personal cloud account. Your location is never shared with anyone.

2. Account Creation & Email

Account creation is entirely optional. The App is fully functional without an account for free users.

If you choose to create an account to access Pro features, we collect your email address for the purpose of account authentication. Your email is stored securely via Supabase (see Section 5) and is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

You may delete your account at any time directly inside the App by tapping your account name and selecting “Delete Account.” Upon deletion, your account and all cloud-stored data will be permanently and immediately removed.

3. Local & Cloud Data Storage

The App features a “Tackle Box” where you can save catches, fishing spots, recipes, and tips.

🪪 Fishing License Photos & Local Storage: Your fishing license photos are stored locally on your device only and are never uploaded to our servers. This is intentional — your license contains sensitive personal information such as your name, address, and license number. If you clear your browser cache or reinstall the app, you will need to re-upload your license photos. We recommend keeping a photo of your license in your phone’s camera roll as a backup.

4. Payments

The Pro upgrade is a one-time payment of $1.99 USD, processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, billing address, or any payment details. All payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and is subject to Stripe’s Privacy Policy. Upon successful payment, Stripe notifies our system to upgrade your account — no payment data is passed to or stored by us.

Our App is intended for a general audience. If you use the App without creating an account, no personal information is collected. If an account is created, we collect only an email address. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
