Summary: We do not require account creation, we do not show advertisements, and we do not collect, store, or sell your personal information.
1. Permissions & Data Usage
To provide its core features, the App requires certain permissions on your device:
- Camera Access: Used exclusively to capture photos of fish for identification purposes. Images are processed via secure AI and are not saved to any remote server by the developer.
- Location Services (GPS): Used to provide local tide charts, moon phases, and weather data based on your current coordinates. It is also used to identify nearby points of interest such as bait shops and boat ramps. This data is used only during your active session and is not tracked or stored by us.
2. Local Data Storage
The App features a "Digital Tackle Box" where you can save catches, fishing spots, and tips. All this information is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your saved data. If you delete the App or clear your browser cache, this locally stored data will be permanently removed.
3. Third-Party Services
The App utilizes secure third-party APIs to provide core functionality:
- Google Gemini AI: For fish species identification.
- NOAA: For retrieving real-time tide data and schedules.
- Open-Meteo: For retrieving weather forecasts and marine conditions.
- Google Maps & Places: For mapping fishing locations and identifying nearby points of interest, such as bait shops and public boat ramps.
4. Children's Privacy
Our App is intended for a general audience. Because we do not collect any personal information, we do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13.
